Melissa’s photography style is casual and natural. You will be given some guidance for posing but please know that best poses come naturally! I like to give children a little bit of space until they are comfortable in front of the camera. I have found that bribing rarely works with children and often makes cooperation difficult. If you would like to reward your child with a special treat after your session please do not take it away from them when they aren’t doing what you want them to do. I realize that having children photographed can be a stressful experience but please trust that I have photographed lots of kiddos who aren’t cooperative in the beginning but by the end of the session they do GREAT! Even when a session may not be what you expected it to be, I always get lots of great shots! Come to the session relaxed and your children will too
